What You'll Bring
We are looking for the following:
- Successfully completed studies in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience working preferably in a hands-on SMB or at a Managed Service Provider (MSP)
- Comprehensive expertise in Windows server/client OS’, Microsoft Azure/Entra ID Management tools
- Extensive knowledge as well as a deep understanding of the fundamentals of network infrastructure concepts, virtualization technologies, permission concepts, and backup and recovery strategies/concepts, including the implementation and maintenance of projects in these areas
- Proven experience with cybersecurity practices, tools, and incident response
- Strong analytical thinking and conceptual skills, combined with a goal-oriented approach and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously with high accuracy whilst also being reliable and responsible
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Experienced with documenting processes and changes and maintaining this documentation
- Fluent in English (level C1 or above) plus a good conversational level in German (level B2 or above)
What You'll Do
As a Senior IT System Administrator at Factworks, you'll be pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation and optimal performance of our IT infrastructure. Leveraging extensive experience and technical expertise, you will manage the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of our complex systems and networks. This role encompasses overseeing, configuring, and troubleshooting servers, storage systems, virtualization environments, networks, and cloud services.
Collaborating with other IT professionals, you will develop and enforce robust security measures, maintain backup and recovery strategies, and design disaster recovery plans, ensuring our IT infrastructure remains secure and resilient. Your proactive problem-solving approach and keen awareness of emerging technologies will drive continuous improvement and innovation within the IT landscape at Factworks.
In addition to technical duties, you'll manage our hardware, software, and service platforms, consult with senior management to align IT assets with business objectives, and handle various operational tasks.
