What You'll Bring

  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, or Business.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in quantitative research (market research, consumer research, social and psychological research in business or academic context) either at a research firm, a research division within a company or at an academic institution, of which 2 years of that experience is in leading full-cycle quantitative research projects. 
  • Experienced in all stages of the research process and genuinely enthusiastic about empirical research and client relationships.
  • This position also requires any level of education or experience in each of the following:
    • Knowledge of descriptive and univariate statistics
    • Knowledge of multivariate statistics
    • Knowledge of market research projects: tracking projects vs. ad-hoc research, panel studies vs. client studies, qualitative vs. quantitative studies, sampling
    • Knowledge of SPSS or R or Q
    • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
    • Knowledge of Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Docs)

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll lead market research projects of low to medium complexity, managing them from inception through execution. You'll take ownership of project success, ensuring the right research methodology is applied and that every stage of execution meets the highest standards. You'll generate insights and recommendations tailored to your clients' business objectives, while acting as a trusted advisor to help them identify the best solutions. An important part of the role is also mentoring and supporting the ongoing development of your project team members. 

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Leading market research projects of low to medium complexity. Responsible for project management from inception to execution. Takes ownership of and commitment to project success, and generates insights and recommendations tailored to business objectives.

 MARKET RESEARCH PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Leads the entire project efficiently with respect to time, capacities and cost
  • Identifies risks and roadblocks that may affect the timeline or project success and proactively develops and communicates solutions to address those, communicates relevant changes proactively

 EMPOWERMENT OF THE MARKET RESEARCH PROJECT TEAM

  • Coaches project team members on research tasks where they need assistance/support; gives regular and timely individual feedback
  • Delegates research tasks and responsibilities clearly and according to capacities, capabilities and - if possible - individual preferences
  • Fosters an open and transparent team communication style, e.g., setting up regular catch-up meetings and providing an outlook on upcoming tasks/milestones

 TRUSTED PARTNERSHIP AND EXPERTISE

  • Acquires an understanding of the clients’ business issues and the industries in which they operate relevant to answer the business objectives
  • Uses methodological expertise to create custom research design, questionnaire / discussion guide and analysis plans that are suitable for answering the key business questions
  • Uses business understanding to build a strong storyline for the report; provides actionable recommendations targeted to the business objective
  • Develops, maintains and strengthens client relationships and trusted partnerships, confident and consultative communication approach, while still professional and friendly

 GENERAL

  • Helps clients answer crucial business questions and adopt a consultative approach
  • Responsible for actively sharing market research knowledge within the team
  • Finds efficiencies/improvement within projects and drives them forward
  • Lives by example in accordance with Factworks’ values, mission and strategy
